This election season, the Google Code Team has been inspired by democracy. We have been looking at code.google.com and thinking about ways to make the site better for our users. For example, we updated the homepage a few weeks ago to make it easier to find some of our most popular products. However, we wanted to give our users the right to vote. So, when Google Moderator was released to the public, we thought it would be the perfect tool to get your feedback and ideas. The best part is that you can vote on good ideas so they move to the top of the list and vote against bad ideas so they don't. We added a feedback link in the footer on Google Code, but you can get started using the link below.

Seems like every few days, Google+ adds a new feature or three. Sometimes the features are small and useful, and sometimes they’re very cool – like the new YouTube playlist feature that automatically finds music from your favorite artists on YouTube and plays it.

Part of the fun of this feature is how easy it is to use. From your Google+ page, mouse over the YouTube button at the top right, click in the box that slides out, and type the name of an artist. Just like that, you have a YouTube playlist from the artist you chose. You can +1 the videos or even share them back to your circles. It’s low friction and very handy.


Not all sounds are pleasant, and one of the worst is that old classic, fingernails on a chalkboard (did you just shudder?). Because science is awesome, scientists have studied exactly what makes this sound so awful. It’s not the high-pitched screech, they found: it’s the mid-range. They think it’s because our ears have evolved to be sensitive to those sounds. And watching it done makes it sound even worse.

Finally, while you’re enjoying your weekend, take a moment to go to google.com and search for do a barrel roll. This one is extra fun for you Star Fox fans.

We know that developers are always interested in learning about new APIs and best practices for existing ones. And, one of the best ways to learn is face to face interaction with an expert in the subject.

Your friendly neighborhood Google Developer Relations team members work everyday with the APIs you care about. We host, as well as attend, a number of events around the world to help as many developers as possible throughout the year. However, it hasn’t been easy for interested developers to find relevant events close to them.

We also realized that while many developers have met at least a couple of our Developer Advocates, it’s hard to tie an Advocate to their API expertise.

Enter the Advocate Bios and Developer Events pages.

The Advocates Bios page provides names, pictures and short descriptions of Developer Relations team members. You can filter them by what they work on and/or where they’re based out of.

The Developer Events page is a mashup of the Calendar and Maps APIs, running on an App Engine backend. Want to know about upcoming Android events in Prague? Or whether Patrick Chanezon is speaking at the GDD in Munich on Nov 9th? (He is!) You can do all of that and more with the Developer Events page.

Both the bios and the events pages are conveniently linked under the Developer Resources section on the Google Code home page.

Seo Master present to you: Today, we're excited to announce several new features for Google Friend Connect that make it possible for website owners to get to know their users, encourage users to get to know each other, and match their site content (including Google ads) to visitors' interests. Check out the Google Social Web Blog for an overview of these new features.

We also want to point out that there are APIs for developers who want to play with the interests data programmatically. With the new interest data described on the Social Web Blog, developers can write custom polls and access the interests data directly. Friend Connect provides API level access to both individual interests information as well as aggregate information for all users of a site. Interests information can be added programmatically for the signed-in user or via the poll gadget, and it can be accessed via both the JavaScript API and the OpenSocial REST API. The Guitar Universe example site should give you an idea of some of the things that are possible with this new launch.

Perbedaan Inline dan External Javascript tentu saja terletak pada cara penempatannya. Inline javascript itu adalah kode yang diletakkan di antara tag dan ditaruh pada kode template. Lazimnya kode seperti ini biasanya bisa kita temukan tepat di atas dan kode ini dibuat untuk menghasilkan efek yang cenderung lebih atraktif dari css biasa.


Berbeda dengan Inline,
