Notes:

    For the curious, this feature is predicated on the link: operator of Blog Search. therefore sites linking to your blog can have to be compelled to be indexed by Blog Search and there is also a small delay before the backlinks seem on your blog.

    The comment notification email setting doesn't apply to backlinks, therefore you may not be notified of recent links once they seem. this can be as a result of these links are researched on-the-fly when you read a private post.

    In lieu of comment notification, you'll be able to use Blog Search with a question  like link:your-blog-here.blogspot.com, and then subscribe to the results. which will have an analogous impact.
