WiTricity , A company from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT),Boston, has innovate the device of charging without the electric cable / wire.

Regular charging device or wired electricity uses electromagnetic induction to transmit the power. Through electromagnetic induction, an electric current is sent through a magnetic field generated by a power conductor to a smaller magnetic field generated by a receiving device.

But on other hand WiTricity devices share energy through magnetic fields as well which is wireless and can penetrate the concrete also. WiTricity's devices produce magnetic fields through a process called resonant magnetic coupling, which allows power to be transmitted several meters in distance.

As examples. A child pumps her legs at the resonant frequency of a swing to fly through the air, or an opera singer shatters a wine glass by singing a single note at a frequency that matches the acoustic resonance of the glass.

Now this works only in short distance because the device is still not that strong . But the. WiTricity company has announced that , the day is not so far when this wire will be a history. A house can get full energy from a single device , cars are running on road can get energy from those device .
