Last week Angry Birds for Chrome was updated to use the Web Audio API for all its in-game audio for Chrome users, which means Chrome users get the full Angry Birds experience, without any plugins. The Web Audio API supports a wide variety of use cases, including the high fidelity and low latency requirements of games. Users of other supported browsers will still get sound via Flash or HTML5 audio.
How does this cross-browser audio magic work? As you may have seen or heard, Angry Birds was in no small part made possible by the cross-platform open source PlayN library. When building for the HTML platform, PlayN in turn relies heavily on Google Web Toolkit (GWT) to delivery a highly optimized web experience for users, and on gwt-voices to easily deliver a cross-browser audio experience.
The responsibility of choosing the appropriate audio API for the game's sound is (mostly) left up to gwt-voices, which chooses the audio API that will give the best experience. If you'd like to hear how other audio APIs perform, you can ask gwt-voices to try to use the Web Audio API, Flash, HTML5 Audio, or even native audio. Your mileage will vary by browser and platform and which plugins you have installed. Also, gwt-voices will select the best available fallback, if the desired audio API is not going to work at all in your environment.

As part of our Make The Web Faster initiative, Google announced the availability of mod_pagespeed, an open-source module for Apache webservers to automatically accelerate the sites they serve. Go Daddy, the top web hosting provider and world's largest domain name registrar, announced that they would roll out the mod_pagespeed feature for their Linux Web hosting customers. The feature is now available and is in use by Go Daddy customers who have already started to report faster webpage load times.
“Who on the Internet wouldn't want a faster website?” asked Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. “The benefits of mod_pagespeed are really a slam dunk. It’s built to boost users’ web performance, and ultimately, the bottom line for their business.”
By using several filters that implement web performance best practices, mod_pagespeed rewrites web page resources to automatically optimize their content. The filters improve performance for JavaScript, HTML and CSS, as well as JPEG and PNG images.
Mike Bender, co-creator of photo-blog AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com and Go Daddy customer, detected a 48% decrease, slicing the load time for his image-rich website from 12.8 to 6.6 seconds. mod_pagespeed speeds up the first visit of the site by reducing the payload size and improving compression. Repeat visits are accelerated by making caching more efficient and decreasing the size of resources such as CSS and HTML on the page as demonstrated in this chart (where smaller is faster):
“From the moment we enabled mod_pagespeed, the difference was noticeable,” said Bender. “It was a simple ‘flick of the switch,’ and the site started loading faster.”

It took approximately 2000 years for the original Rosetta Stone to be discovered, which helped translate the Egyptian Hieroglyphs. We couldn’t wait that long to bridge the Dart and JavaScript worlds, so today we are releasing the JavaScript to Dart Synonym app.
Like most web developers, we are familiar, comfortable, and productive with JavaScript. We were curious about Dart, and thanks to a recent Dart hackathon, we had the chance to play with the language and libraries. The problem was, as JavaScript developers, we didn’t know how to map common JavaScript idioms to Dart. Hence the idea for this synonym app was born.
We started with the basics that every JavaScript and jQuery developer knows: variables, arrays, functions, classes, DOM manipulation, and many more. Then, with the help of the Dart team, we recorded the corresponding Dart versions of each idiom. To practice what we learned, we wrote this app with Dart.
We hope our app that maps between JavaScript and Dart eases your introduction to Dart and gives you a sense of where the project is going. We know the team is eager to hear your feedback. Don’t hesitate to join the conversation or file a new issue for either Dart or the Synonym app. And remember, Dart isn’t set in stone, so your feedback counts.

So when I finally go through all of the bad advice, good advice and technical jargon, I started to see what was actually working and what was not.
One of the best things about Internet marketing is the fact that there are an infinite amount of niches that you can choose from. But not every method is going to work for every niche. Here are 5 Internet marketing tips that will work for every niche.
1. Attach NoFollows To Affiliate Links
Whether you're using Clickbank, Shareasale, Amazon or Ebay attach a nofollow attribute to your affiliate links. If you're like me, you probably have at least 5-6 advertisements on your blog posts or website pages at a time. This can be confusing to the Googlebots when they come to your site. When you attach a nofollow attribute to your links you will tell the bots that you're not trying to rank the linked websites.
When you have dofollows attached to your links the bots are going to see affiliate links the same way they see any internal backlinks that you put on the page. If you don't have a nofollow tag the bots will also leave your site. Put these tags on any links that will be leaving your website to keep the bots indexing your posts.
Here is an example of a link and how to apply the nofollow tag:

2. Use Automation Software Carefully

If you use SEO software, make sure that you actually know how to use them. Building links too fast can get you penalized by the search engines. If you use this software too quickly, you can even get your website banned. Yes, these tools can help get you ranked, but they can also ruin weeks or even years of work.
If you're going to use these tools, make sure that you are using original content and that you're using them on your tiered backlink sites.
3. Use Article Marketing On Web 2.0 Sites
Web 2.0 sites like Hubpages, Squidoo, Blogger, Yahoo Voices and Wordpress are some of the best platforms for building backlinks. There are a lot of Internet marketers that will tell you article marketing is dead. This is simply not true. How can content be king, but article marketing is dead? That doesn't make any sense.
Article directories such as Ezines are dead, but Web 2.0 sites are thriving. One of the best ways to get readership is to do a search for your title in the “Search” bar of sites like Hubpages and Squidoo. You want the title to be completely original. Tiered backlinks basically mean that you have 5-10 websites pointing back to your money site. These are your 1st tier sites. Then you have 15-20 links pointing back to your 1st tier for a 2nd tier. And so on and so on.
