Seo Master present to you: Today a group of DNS and content providers, including Neustar/UltraDNS and Google are publishing a proposal to extend the DNS protocol. DNS is the system that translates an easy-to-remember name like www.google.com to a numeric address like 74.125.45.104. These are the IP addresses that computers use to communicate with one another on the Internet.

By returning different addresses to requests coming from different places, DNS can be used to load balance traffic and send users to a nearby server. For example, if you look up www.google.com from a computer in New York, it may resolve to an IP address pointing to a server in New York City. If you look up www.google.com from the Netherlands, the result could be an IP address pointing to a server in the Netherlands. Sending you to a nearby server improves speed, latency, and network utilization.

Currently, to determine your location, authoritative nameservers look at the source IP address of the incoming request, which is the IP address of your DNS resolver, rather than your IP address. This DNS resolver is often managed by your ISP or alternately is a third-party resolver like Google Public DNS. In most cases the resolver is close to its users, in which case the authoritative nameservers will be able to find the nearest server. However, some DNS resolvers serve many users over a wider area. In these cases, your lookup for www.google.com may return the IP address of a server several countries away from you. If the authoritative nameserver could detect where you were, a closer server might have been available.

Our proposed DNS protocol extension lets recursive DNS resolvers include part of your IP address in the request sent to authoritative nameservers. Only the first three octets, or top 24 bits, are sent providing enough information to the authoritative nameserver to determine your network location, without affecting your privacy.

The Internet-Draft was posted to the dnsext mailing list today, and over the next few months our group hopes to see this proposal accepted as an official Internet standard. We plan to continue working with all interested parties on implementing this solution and are looking forward to a healthy discussion on the dnsext mailing list.

In related news this week, the chairman of the HTTPbis Working Group announced support for SPDY in a public post.

At Google, these projects are part of our Make the Web Faster initiative, although TCP improvements and SPDY are efforts of the whole community. Even if you’re not working on TCP or SPDY, you can find lots of useful resources at our Make the Web Faster site. For example, there are articles on compression, caching, metrics, and more, a set of tools for measuring and optimizing pages, and several discussion forums for communicating with other interested folks.

Sometimes stronger is more important than faster. But with rise in internet technology it has become much more easier to add custom fonts in your webpages. And it does not requires the users to have that fonts intalled in their computer. This technique can be used on blog as well as your personal websites.

Back-Up your Bloggers Template

This will be you first step in each and every post of MBW where you need to customize your template. So in case if something get wrong with your codes you can use downloaded version of your template. To download your template follow below steps

1. From you dashboard go to Templates
2. Click on Backup/Restore (In top right corner)
3. Then click on Download Full Template.

Font Selection

Google has variety of cool and stylish fonts. To use those fonts go to Google Font Directory and select any font of you choice. Then click on quick use button and you will be taken to a new tab.

Step 1: Copy the code as shown below into Notepad

Step 2: Changing the above copied code. Add forward slash ('/') before closing tag ( ">")

Step 3: Copy the CSS code that look something like below into Notepad

font-family: 'Carrois Gothic', sans-serif;

Step 4: Now paste the code that we edited in step 2 after the <head> Tag. Make sure that it is the first code after head tag otherwise it may cause problem in Internet Explorer or older version of google chrome or firefox.

Step 5: Now we will add CSS style to change the font style of our post title. To do this search for any of the following code.If you can't find first code try with the second one.

.post h3 OR .post-title h3

Now change font name with the name we copied in Step 3. So code will look something like below.In our case it was 'Carrois Gothic' but it can be any font of your choice.

If you follow every steps correctly now you will have custom fonts in your blog. You can use this same procedure to change fonts for sidebar,title, posting etc. To do so you only need to change Step 5 and search for any of the following code.

Title: h1
Post title: .post h3 or .post-title

Sidebar: .sidebar h2

Log In to your Blogger Account
Go to Design-> Page Elements(Shown in the Picture)

Click on Add Gadget (anyone) and look for HTML/Javascript take it.
Leave the Title as Blank(as shown in the figure)

Copy and paste the below code in it.

you can change Red Highlighted texts when you need. pageCount=7; determines how many Blog posts in each pages. you want to display in each pages.(Note:if you change this value '7' goto Settings->Formatting and change value of Show at most as you given in PageCount)

And displayPageNum=5 determines how many additional Page Navigation numbers display on the page.

Click on save,You are almost clear.
Then Change the position of the Widget ,place under the Blog posts.(shown in the figure)

Done..your blog had a page navigation bar.
