* Kemudian cari lagi kode </head>, dan copas kode berikut di atasnya.

<script src='http://www.geocities.com/asmara.4477/script/SpryMenuBar.js' type='text/javascript'/>

* Untuk ketiga kalinya cari kode di bawah ini.

<div id='header-wrapper'>
<b:section class='header' id='header' maxwidgets='1'
showaddelement='no'>
<b:widget id='Header1' locked='true' title='test
(Header)' type='Header'/>

... dan seterusnya ...

</b:section>
</div>

* Kalau sudah ketemu, copas kode berikut tepat di bawah kode yang berwarna hijau atau berwarna merah (sesuaikan dengan template blog kamu).

<div id='bg_nav'>
<div id='navleft'>
<ul class='MenuBarHorizontal' id='MenuBar1'>
<li><a href='http://alamat blog kamu'>Home</a></li>

3. Sedangkan kode yang berwarna biru adalah struktur kode HTML apabila kamu ingin menambahkan menu turunan, baik pertama (warna biru saja) maupun kedua (warna biru kedap-kedip).
4. Ganti juga yang ada tulisan "Item plus angka-angka" dengan teks kamu sendiri.

from web contents: Five common SEO mistakes (and six good ideas!) 2013

salam every one, this is a topic from google web master centrale blog: Webmaster Level: Beginner to Intermediate

To help you avoid common mistakes webmasters face with regard to search engine optimization (SEO), I filmed a video outlining five common mistakes I’ve noticed in the SEO industry. Almost four years ago, we also gathered information from all of you (our readers) about your SEO recommendations and updated our related Help Center article given your feedback. Much of the same advice from 2008 still holds true today -- here’s to more years ahead building a great site!

If you’re short on time, here’s the gist:

Avoid these common mistakes
1. Having no value proposition: Try not to assume that a site should rank #1 without knowing why it’s helpful to searchers (and better than the competition :)

2. Segmented approach: Be wary of setting SEO-related goals without making sure they’re aligned with your company’s overall objectives and the goals of other departments. For example, in tandem with your work optimizing product pages (and the full user experience once they come to your site), also contribute your expertise to your Marketing team’s upcoming campaign. So if Marketing is launching new videos or a more interactive site, be sure that searchers can find their content, too.

3. Time-consuming workarounds: Avoid implementing a hack rather than researching new features or best practices that could simplify development (e.g., changing the timestamp on an updated URL so it’s crawled more quickly instead of easily submitting the URL through Fetch as Googlebot).

4. Caught in SEO trends: Consider spending less time obsessing about the latest “trick” to boost your rankings and instead focus on the fundamental tasks/efforts that will bring lasting visitors.

5. Slow iteration: Aim to be agile rather than promote an environment where the infrastructure and/or processes make improving your site, or even testing possible improvements, difficult.
Six fundamental SEO tips
1. Do something cool: Make sure your site stands out from the competition -- in a good way!

2. Include relevant words in your copy: Try to put yourself in the shoes of searchers. What would they query to find you? Your name/business name, location, products, etc., are important. It's also helpful to use the same terms in your site that your users might type (e.g., you might be a trained “flower designer” but most searchers might type [florist]), and to answer the questions they might have (e.g., store hours, product specs, reviews). It helps to know your customers.

3. Be smart about your tags and site architecture: Create unique title tags and meta descriptions; include Rich Snippets markup from schema.org where appropriate. Have intuitive navigation and good internal links.

4. Sign up for email forwarding in Webmaster Tools: Help us communicate with you, especially when we notice something awry with your site.

5. Attract buzz: Natural links, +1s, likes, follows... In every business there's something compelling, interesting, entertaining, or surprising that you can offer or share with your users. Provide a helpful service, tell fun stories, paint a vivid picture and users will share and reshare your content.

6. Stay fresh and relevant: Keep content up-to-date and consider options such as building a social media presence (if that’s where a potential audience exists) or creating an ideal mobile experience if your users are often on-the-go.
Good luck to everyone!

from web contents: Where's my data? 2013

salam every one, this is a topic from google web master centrale blog:
Today we're going back to basics. We'll be answering the question: What is a website?

...Okay, not exactly. But we will be looking into what a "website" means in the context of Webmaster Tools, what kind of sites you can add to your Webmaster Tools account, and what data you can get from different types of sites.

Why should you care? Well, the following are all questions that we've gotten from webmasters recently:
  • "I know my site has lots of incoming links; why don't I see any in my Webmaster Tools account?"
  • "I see sitelinks for my site in Google's search results, but when I look in Webmaster Tools it says 'No sitelinks have been generated for your site.'"
  • "Why does my Top search queries report still say 'Data is not available at this time'? My site has been verified for months."
In each of these cases, the answer was the same: the data was there, but the webmaster was looking at the wrong "version" of their domain in Webmaster Tools.

A little background
The majority of tools and settings in Webmaster Tools operate on a per-site basis. This means that when you're looking at, say, the Top search queries report, you're only seeing the top search queries for a particular site. Looking at the top queries for www.example.com will show you different data than looking at the top queries for www.example.org. Makes sense, right?

Not all websites have URLs in the form www.example.com, though. Your root URL may not include the www subdomain (example.com); it may include a custom subdomain (rollergirl.example.com); or your site may live in a subfolder, for example if it's hosted on a free hosting site (www.example.com/rollergirl/). Since we want webmasters to be able to access our tools regardless of how their site is hosted, you can add any combination of domain, subdomain(s), and/or subfolder(s) as a "site" on your Webmaster Tools dashboard. Once you've verified your ownership of that site, we'll show you the information we have for that particular piece of the web, however big or small it may be. If you've verified your domain at the root level, we'll show you data for that whole domain; if you've only verified a particular subfolder or subdomain, we'll only show you data for that subfolder or subdomain. Take Blogger as an example—someone who blogs with Blogger should only be able to have access to the data for their own subdomain (www..matrixar.com), not the entire blogspot.com domain.

What some people overlook is the fact that www is actually a subdomain. It's a very, very common subdomain, and many sites serve the same content whether you access them with or without the www; but the fact remains that example.com and www.example.com are two different URLs and have the potential to serve different content. For this reason, they're considered different sites in Webmaster Tools. Since they're different sites—just like www.example.com and www.example.orgthey can have different data. When you're looking at the data for www.example.com (with the www subdomain) you're not seeing the data for example.com (without the subdomain), and vice versa.

What can I do to make sure I'm seeing all my data?
  • If you feel like you're missing some data, add both the www and the non-www version of your domain to your Webmaster Tools account. Take a look at the data for both sites.
  • Do a site: search for your domain without the www (e.g. [site:example.com]). This should return pages from your domain and any of your indexed subdomains (www.example.com, rollergirl.example.com, etc.). You should be able to tell from the results whether your site is mainly indexed with or without the www subdomain. The version that's indexed is likely to be the version that shows the most data in your Webmaster Tools account.
  • Tell us whether you prefer for your site to be indexed with or without the www by setting your preferred domain.
  • Let everyone else know which version you prefer by doing a site-wide 301 redirect.
Even though example.com and www.example.com may look like identical twins, any twins will be quick to tell you that they're not actually the same person. :-) Now that you know, we urge you to give both your www and non-www sites some love in Webmaster Tools, and—as usual—to post any follow-up questions in our Webmaster Help Group.

from web contents: Estuvimos presentes en Madrid 2013

salam every one, this is a topic from google web master centrale blog:

We were in Madrid

Last 8th and 9th of March we went to the OJOBuscador conference in Madrid. The event was very interesting for us since we had the chance to listen to presentations from the main search engines and to discuss with the webmasters their main concerns regarding Spanish search engine positioning. One key point mentioned frequently both in the SEO sessions and in the informal chats was the disadvantage of working in an SEO market where several companies use sneaky methods that go against the official Webmaster Guidelines.

There are some techniques such as generating satellite domains or creating thousands of irrelevant pages with the sole purpose of gaining traffic in search queries that are not always related to sites' content. Another phenomenon we have observed is the steady influx of domains which only have content from affiliate sites without adding any unique value or relevance.

We are going to be stricter against the techniques previously discussed, as we consider it is very important to avoid deceiving the users. Nevertheless, we think the ultimate responsibility for the contents of a website belongs to the webmaster, who should watch over the site quality and verify that the pages are made for the user.

Aiming to enhance communication with the webmaster community, we would like to announce that going forward Google will participate and monitor the Spanish Webmaster Discussion Forum.

We're fortunate to meet many of you at conferences, where we can chat about web search and Webmaster Tools. We receive a lot of good feedback at these events: insight into the questions you're asking and issues you're facing. However, as several of our Webmaster Help Group friends have pointed out, not everyone can afford the time or expense of a conference; and many of you live in regions where webmaster-related conferences are rare.

So, we're bringing the conference to you.

We've posted notes in our Help Group from conferences we recently attended:
Next month, Jonathan and Wysz will post their notes from PubCon, while Bergy and I will cover SES Chicago.

If you can make it to one of these, we'd love to meet you face to face, but if you can't, we hope you find our jottings useful.

Um dos sítios recomendados para começar é o Grupo de Discussão de Ajuda a Webmasters que monitorizamos regularmente.this is a topic published in 2013... to get contents for your blog or your forum, just contact me at: devnasser@gmail.com

from web contents: Help Google index your videos 2013

salam every one, this is a topic from google web master centrale blog: Webmaster Level: All

The single best way to make Google aware of all your videos on your website is to create and maintain a Video Sitemap. Video Sitemaps provide Google with essential information about your videos, including the URLs for the pages where the videos can be found, the titles of the videos, keywords, thumbnail images, durations, and other information. The Sitemap also allows you to define the period of time for which each video will be available. This is particularly useful for content that has explicit viewing windows, so that we can remove the content from our index when it expires.

Once your Sitemap is created, you can can submit the URL of the Sitemap file in Google Webmaster Tools or through your robots.txt file.

Once we have indexed a video, it may appear in our web search results in what we call a Video Onebox (a cluster of videos related to the queried topic) and in our video search property, Google Videos. A video result is immediately recognizable by its thumbnail, duration, and a description.

As an example, this is what a video result from CNN.com looks like on Google:

We encourage those of you with videos to submit Video Sitemaps and to keep them updated with your new content. Please also visit our recently updated Video Sitemap Help Center, and utilize our Sitemap Help Forum. If you've submitted a Video Sitemap file via Webmaster Tools and want to share your experiences or problems, you can do so here.

from web contents: Debugging blocked URLs 2013

salam every one, this is a topic from google web master centrale blog: Vanessa's been posting a lot lately, and I'm starting to feel left out. So here my tidbit of wisdom for you: I've noticed a couple of webmasters confused by "blocked by robots.txt" errors, and I wanted to share the steps I take when debugging robots.txt problems:

A handy checklist for debugging a blocked URL

Let's assume you are looking at crawl errors for your website and notice a URL restricted by robots.txt that you weren't intending to block:
http://www.example.com/amanda.html URL restricted by robots.txt Sep 3, 2006

Check the robots.txt analysis tool
The first thing you should do is go to the robots.txt analysis tool for that site. Make sure you are looking at the correct site for that URL, paying attention that you are looking at the right protocol and subdomain. (Subdomains and protocols may have their own robots.txt file, so https://www.example.com/robots.txt may be different from http://example.com/robots.txt and may be different from http://amanda.example.com/robots.txt.) Paste the blocked URL into the "Test URLs against this robots.txt file" box. If the tool reports that it is blocked, you've found your problem. If the tool reports that it's allowed, we need to investigate further.

At the top of the robots.txt analysis tool, take a look at the HTTP status code. If we are reporting anything other than a 200 (Success) or a 404 (Not found) then we may not be able to reach your robots.txt file, which stops our crawling process. (Note that you can see the last time we downloaded your robots.txt file at the top of this tool. If you make changes to your file, check this date and time to see if your changes were made after our last download.)

Check for changes in your robots.txt file
If these look fine, you may want to check and see if your robots.txt file has changed since the error occurred by checking the date to see when your robots.txt file was last modified. If it was modified after the date given for the error in the crawl errors, it might be that someone has changed the file so that the new version no longer blocks this URL.

Check for redirects of the URL
If you can be certain that this URL isn't blocked, check to see if the URL redirects to another page. When Googlebot fetches a URL, it checks the robots.txt file to make sure it is allowed to access the URL. If the robots.txt file allows access to the URL, but the URL returns a redirect, Googlebot checks the robots.txt file again to see if the destination URL is accessible. If at any point Googlebot is redirected to a blocked URL, it reports that it could not get the content of the original URL because it was blocked by robots.txt.

Sometimes this behavior is easy to spot because a particular URL always redirects to another one. But sometimes this can be tricky to figure out. For instance:
  • Your site may not have a robots.txt file at all (and therefore, allows access to all pages), but a URL on the site may redirect to a different site, which does have a robots.txt file. In this case, you may see URLs blocked by robots.txt for your site (even though you don't have a robots.txt file).
  • Your site may prompt for registration after a certain number of page views. You may have the registration page blocked by a robots.txt file. In this case, the URL itself may not redirect, but if Googlebot triggers the registration prompt when accessing the URL, it will be redirected to the blocked registration page, and the original URL will be listed in the crawl errors page as blocked by robots.txt.

Ask for help
Finally, if you still can't pinpoint the problem, you might want to post on our forum for help. Be sure to include the URL that is blocked in your message. Sometimes its easier for other people to notice oversights you may have missed.

Good luck debugging! And by the way -- unrelated to robots.txt -- make sure that you don't have "noindex" meta tags at the top of your web pages; those also result in Google not showing a web site in our index.this is a topic published in 2013... to get contents for your blog or your forum, just contact me at: devnasser@gmail.com

from web contents: Download to Google Spreadsheet from Webmaster Tools 2013

salam every one, this is a topic from google web master centrale blog: Webmaster level: All

Webmaster Tools now has a new download option for exporting your data directly to a Google Spreadsheet. The download option is available for most of our data heavy features, such as Crawl errors, Search queries, and Links to your site. If you enjoy digging into the data from Webmaster Tools but don’t want to use Python scripts or the API, we’ve added new functionality just for you. Now when you click a download button from a Webmaster Tools feature like Search queries, you'll be presented with the "Select Download Format" option where you can choose to download the data as "CSV" or "Google Docs."

Choosing "CSV" initiates a download of the data in CSV format which has long been available in Webmaster Tools and can be imported into other spreadsheet tools like Excel. If you select the new “Google Docs” option then your data will be saved into a Google Spreadsheet and the newly created spreadsheet will be opened in a new browser tab.

We hope the ability to easily download your data to a Google Spreadsheet helps you to get crunching on your site's Webmaster Tools data even faster than you could before. Using only a web browser you can instantly dive right into slicing and dicing your data to create customized charts for detecting significant changes and tracking longer term trends impacting your site. If you've got questions or feedback please share it in the Webmaster Help Forum.

from web contents: Upcoming changes in Google’s HTTP Referrer 2013

salam every one, this is a topic from google web master centrale blog: Webmaster level: all

Protecting users’ privacy is a priority for us and it’s helped drive recent changes. Helping users save time is also very important; it’s explicitly mentioned as a part of our philosophy. Today, we’re happy to announce that Google Web Search will soon be using a new proposal to reduce latency when a user of Google’s SSL-search clicks on a search result with a modern browser such as Chrome.

Starting in April, for browsers with the appropriate support, we will be using the "referrer" meta tag to automatically simplify the referring URL that is sent by the browser when visiting a page linked from an organic search result. This results in a faster time to result and more streamlined experience for the user.

What does this mean for sites that receive clicks from Google search results? You may start to see "origin" referrers—Google’s homepages (see the meta referrer specification for further detail)—as a source of organic SSL search traffic. This change will only affect the subset of SSL search referrers which already didn’t include the query terms. Non-HTTPS referrals will continue to behave as they do today. Again, the primary motivation for this change is to remove an unneeded redirect so that signed-in users reach their destination faster.

Website analytics programs can detect these organic search requests by detecting bare Google host names using SSL (like "https://www.google.co.uk/"). Webmasters will continue see the same data in Webmasters Tools—just as before, you’ll receive an aggregated list of the top search queries that drove traffic to their site.

We will continue to look into further improvements to how search query data is surfaced through Webmaster Tools. If you have questions, feedback or suggestions, please let us know through the Webmaster Tools Help Forum.

from web contents: Your fast pass through security 2013

salam every one, this is a topic from google web master centrale blog: Webmaster level: All

Security checks are nobody's cup of tea. We've never seen people go through airport baggage checks for fun. But while security measures are often necessary, that doesn't mean they have to be painful. In that spirit, we’ve implemented several major improvements to make the Google Site Verification process faster, more straightforward, and perhaps even a pleasure to use—so you can get on with the tasks that matter to you.

New verification method recommendations

You’ll quickly notice the changes we’ve made to the verification page, namely the new tabbed interface. These tabs allow us to give greater visibility to the verification method that we think will be most useful to you, which is listed in the Recommended Method tab.

Our recommendation is just an educated guess, but sometimes guesses can be wrong. It’s possible that the method we recommend might not work for you. If this is the case, simply click the "Alternate methods" tab to see the other verification methods that are available. Verifying with an alternate method is just as powerful as verifying with a recommended method.

Our recommendations are computed from statistical data taken from users with a similar configuration to yours. For example, we can guess which verification methods might be successful by looking at the public hosting information for your website. In the future we plan to add more signals so that we can provide additional customized instructions along with more relevant recommendations.

New Google Sites Are Automatically Verified
For some of you, we’ve made the process even more effortless—Google Sites administrators are now automatically verified for all new sites that they create. When you create a new Google Site, it’ll appear verified in the details page. The same goes for adding or removing owners: when you edit the owners list in your Google Site's settings, the changes will automatically appear in Webmaster Tools.

One thing to note is that we’re unable to automatically verify preexisting Google Sites at this time. If you’d like to verify your older Google Sites, please continue to use the meta tag method already available.

We hope these enhancements help get you through security even faster. Should you get pulled over and have any questions, feel free to check out our Webmaster Help Forums.

from web contents: Page layout algorithm improvement 2013

salam every one, this is a topic from google web master centrale blog: Webmaster Level: All

In our ongoing effort to help you find more high-quality websites in search results, today we’re launching an algorithmic change that looks at the layout of a webpage and the amount of content you see on the page once you click on a result.

As we’ve mentioned previously, we’ve heard complaints from users that if they click on a result and it’s difficult to find the actual content, they aren’t happy with the experience. Rather than scrolling down the page past a slew of ads, users want to see content right away. So sites that don’t have much content “above-the-fold” can be affected by this change. If you click on a website and the part of the website you see first either doesn’t have a lot of visible content above-the-fold or dedicates a large fraction of the site’s initial screen real estate to ads, that’s not a very good user experience. Such sites may not rank as highly going forward.

We understand that placing ads above-the-fold is quite common for many websites; these ads often perform well and help publishers monetize online content. This algorithmic change does not affect sites who place ads above-the-fold to a normal degree, but affects sites that go much further to load the top of the page with ads to an excessive degree or that make it hard to find the actual original content on the page. This new algorithmic improvement tends to impact sites where there is only a small amount of visible content above-the-fold or relevant content is persistently pushed down by large blocks of ads.

This algorithmic change noticeably affects less than 1% of searches globally. That means that in less than one in 100 searches, a typical user might notice a reordering of results on the search page. If you believe that your website has been affected by the page layout algorithm change, consider how your web pages use the area above-the-fold and whether the content on the page is obscured or otherwise hard for users to discern quickly. You can use our Browser Size tool, among many others, to see how your website would look under different screen resolutions.

If you decide to update your page layout, the page layout algorithm will automatically reflect the changes as we re-crawl and process enough pages from your site to assess the changes. How long that takes will depend on several factors, including the number of pages on your site and how efficiently Googlebot can crawl the content. On a typical website, it can take several weeks for Googlebot to crawl and process enough pages to reflect layout changes on the site.

Overall, our advice for publishers continues to be to focus on delivering the best possible user experience on your websites and not to focus on specific algorithm tweaks. This change is just one of the over 500 improvements we expect to roll out to search this year. As always, please post your feedback and questions in our Webmaster Help forum.

seo Countdown to Google I/O: Diverse perspectives 2013

Seo Master present to you:
Kevin
Marcin
Jared
By Jared Goralnick, Marcin Kwietniewski, and Kevin Nilson, with Scott Knaster and Domenica Liberti, Google I/O Team

Google I/O 2012 is fast approaching, and to help energize you for three packed days of demos, announcements and developer fun, we chatted with a few attendees to see what excites them about this year's agenda, and to get some tips on how to make the most of the event.

For today's post we talked with 3 developers about how they use Google technologies and how Google I/O helps them learn and code.

Jared Goralnick, Founder and CEO, AwayFind

What do you do and what’s your general approach to Google I/O?
My job is to help our engineers get things done, and to grow AwayFind's user base. Google I/O for me is a chance to meet with Googlers and independent software vendors that are pushing the limits of the technologies we work with, mainly Gmail and Google Apps. The people I’ve met at Google I/O in years past have helped my team on both technical and business issues.

What Google technologies do you use in your products?
AwayFind delivers mobile alerts for priority emails. That means we use:
  • OAuth for single sign-on via Google accounts and to connect to our users' Gmail and Google Calendar data.
  • Google Apps Marketplace to provision entire Google Apps domains at once.
  • a Gmail contextual gadget to deeply integrate into the Gmail UI for Google Apps Marketplace users.
  • a Chrome extension to integrate into the Gmail UI for people who sign up outside of the Google Apps Marketplace.
  • An Android app for push delivery of urgent alerts, and to manage AwayFind on-the-go.
  • Google Wallet as part of our Android in-app purchase.
What are the most valuable parts of Google I/O for you? Any advice for new attendees?
It's the unique group of people that make the difference for me at Google I/O. While there will be specific events I'll attend like Wednesday’s "Android Apps in Google Play" and Friday's "Designing for the Other Half," it's the Office Hours and the Sandbox that really excite me.

For anyone who will be attending for the first time, I recommend highlighting the talks or labs that you really want to attend (last year’s Android app was a big help for this). But even more importantly, be sure to list out the questions you really need answered and the people you'd really like to meet.

How is Google I/O different from other conferences you attend?
Google I/O attendees know how to work with the Google ecosystem to build products and businesses. For 3 days this summer, I'll be surrounded by experts and I can ask tough questions of people who have real experience. No other conference offers such a deep dive into the world where my team and my customers spend most of their days.

And it's fun. The afterparty is a chance to be a happy geek. The keynote is energetic. And everyone seems to be in a good mood with free food (and plenty of candy).

Marcin Kwietniewski, Software Engineer, Wave Accounting

Have you been to Google I/O before? What’s your overall perspective on this year’s event?
Not only is this my first Google I/O, I'm a bit of an outsider in the web dev world — I was in database systems and video-processing software until recently. So from that perspective I often find myself asking questions like this:

If we can create brilliant technology that allows me to use my phone to take HD video of a cat and share it with a billion people online, why do small business owners still have to burn a quarter of their time doing administrative tasks instead of, you know, running the business?

So you're saying you hate cats? (Just kidding.) Seriously, what kinds of products are you working on?
My company, WaveAccounting.com, is building smarter, better business tools. Our free online accounting application has had a quarter of a million small businesses sign up in a year and a half. We're launching Wave Payroll soon, too, and we hope to see the same kind of fireworks there.

What are you hoping to learn at I/O?
I'll be at the Google Drive SDK session to see how Wave can use Google Drive to enable easier collaboration between our customers and their accountants — specifically, the ability to share receipts, tax documents, and so on.

At Wave we're currently exploring how to separate the permissions for our various services, so I’ll be at the OAuth session, too. Specifically, I’m looking forward to Python samples for managing user identity and data access within an application.

And as a relative newcomer in the web world, the session about visual design is going to be awesome for me. I haven’t had much design experience before Wave, and though we have great UI/UX people who do most of that work, I still often work very directly on user-facing parts of our application, so I expect to learn a lot from the visual design pros.

At Wave we’re already taking advantage of Google OpenID, and our apps are on the Chrome Web Store and the Google Apps Marketplace. But my marketing colleagues at Wave have me on the lookout for new ways of leveraging the Google ecosystem to drive traffic.

And I'll be absorbing as much Android know-how as possible. Our mobile apps are in progress.

It sounds like you’re very business-focused, but please don’t forget to have fun at I/O too.
Absolutely! I've heard great things about the camaraderie at I/O, and the events from last year look like a blast. I'm looking forward to some fun as well as the mental challenges.

Kevin Nilson, VP Engineering, just.me, and user group leader

Tell us what you do and which technologies you use.
I am the VP of Engineering of just.me, a mobile startup in the social space. At just.me we are building iPhone, Android, HTML5 Mobile, and HTML5 Web applications. At just.me I code on the Android app, the server-side SpringMVC, and a bit on the HTML5. I/O is great because it has great coverage of modern development tools.

I am also the leader of the Silicon Valley Google Technology User Group. I find I/O a great place to get a preview of what possible topics I may want to have throughout the year. If you enjoy I/O, but want to learn more and meet with developers from your community I recommend looking at https://developers.google.com/groups/ to find a local group. If you don’t find a local group you can always start one yourself.

What are you looking forward to most at I/O?
I am most excited about the Android sessions. I'd love to start leveraging all of the ICS features in the just.me app. I will also squeeze in some Google Maps sessions. I seem to find myself using Google Maps on some project every year, so I like keeping up-to-date with Maps.

I also enjoy attending hands-on sessions at I/O. Historically Bootcamp has been my favorite part of I/O. I love sitting in a 1-2 hour session and learning the basics of something I have never done before. The Code Labs this year look great.

As a Google I/O veteran, tell us what it feels like to attend I/O.
I/O has great energy, because it brings developers from all backgrounds. Most conferences I attend, all developers are from very similar backgrounds. I really enjoy the hallway and lunchtime conversations with developers of diverse backgrounds.

I/O also pulls together experts from many different areas. I think the speaker quality at I/O is better than other conferences. Many of the speakers are on the core development teams of the products and others are directly involved in specs.

You're active in the developer community. How does I/O help with that?
I lead the Silicon Valley Google Technology User Group. I/O is the place to meet group leaders from around the world. The group lounge is a great place to relax and meet other developers.

Not coming to Google I/O 2012 in person? Not a problem. Watch the keynote and dozens of other sessions streamed live at developers.google.com/io.
