seo A Short Guide To Tiered Linking And SEO Strategy 2013

Seo Master present to you: What Exactly Is Tiered Linking Strategy?

There is a very basic principal to internet marketing and search engine optimization. The more links
you have, the better your ranking will be. However, many people fail to realize that there is a much better principal in place. Having tiered linking to the links that point to your money is much more effective.

Think of the Internet as a city. Let's say that you want a washing machine. Now you to 20 different stores and the sales people at all of those store tell you to go to The Washing Machine Store. Would you trust that The Washing Machine Store is a good place to get a washer? Of course! Google and the other search engines are the same way.

Now, let's pretend that all of those 20 stores that you went to only hired people that had engineering degrees.. Would you trust that they know what they're talking about? Of course!

This same scenario applies to search engine optimization. In this instance, Google is the customer. Google is going to 20 different sites (stores) and finding links (sales people) that send them to the authority site (The Washing Machine Store.)

Now, Google trusts these 20 sites (stores) because they have high PR (engineering degrees). Get it? Tiered linking uses this same principal, but it goes a little further. Here is a very short, but effective guide on how you can use tiered linking and SEO strategy to get your site ranking in Google within a matter of weeks.

1. Developing A Linking Plan

Having a linking plan for your tiered sites is essential. The first thing that you need to do is figure out the PR of each site. The higher the PR, the more that Google will trust that your site is an authority. There are a ton of ways that you can find out the PR of each website for your tiered linking.

You can either use the Google PR checker or you can browse through the Warrior Forums. I am attaching a thread from a Warrior thread that will give you the PR for each Web 2.0 site that you will want to use. Once you have the PR, you can start to develop your plan.

2. Tiered Links Accounts

Choosing the tiers for your linking is essential. Once you have the PR for each of your sites you need to start making accounts. Sign up for each account based on the PR. You want to have your 1st tier on sites that have a PR of 7 or higher. Your 2nd and 3rd tier sites should have a PR between 4-6.

This sends the Googlebot from low PR all the way to up to high PR, giving your site more juice. This also gives you a lot of URl and PR diversity for your tiers. Squidoo has a PR of 8 so you can start with this one.

Go to that Warrior Forum thread I posted to find other sites that have high PR. Creating accounts on all of these sites will take some time, but once you have an account you will never have to do this again.

I like to create a brand new email for all of my tiered linking sites so I have everything in one place.
This is great for organization, but it also keeps emails away from your main inbox.

3. Creating Content For The Tiers

All right, so you have all of your accounts set up, now you have to create content for each of these tiers. It's easy to get lazy and just put up bad content. Don't do this.

You want to have content that is on par with the articles and blog posts you put on your money site. Include pictures, videos and even freebies on your tiered sites so it doesn't look like a tiered satellite site.

Your 1st tier is the most important so make sure that everything is great. If you have the budget, get a Fiverr or Textbroker account and outsource the content creation to a professional SEO writer. This will cost money, but it will also save you a ton of time.

4. Linking Your Tiers

Linking the tiers is a very important step. As stated before, you want to have high PR for your 1st tier. This can be Blogger, Wordpress, Tumblr and Squidoo. You only really need about 6-7 1st tier sites, but you can go crazy if you want.

For your 2nd tier, Multiply, Hubpages, Xanga and others are fine. Link your 2nd tier to your 1st tier. This passes the link juice from the 2nd tier to the 1st tier to the money site. After you have linked your 2nd tier to your 1st tier, you can link wheel your 2nd tier. This means putting a link from Multiply to Hubpages to Xanga and so on.

When the Googlebot comes to one of your 2nd tier sites, it will go through the entire link pyramid back to your money site, giving your extremely powerful link juice. However, you never want to link wheel your 1st tier. This was effective a couple of years ago, but Google has smartened up.

5. Add Content Weekly

It's not enough to set up this tiered linking structure. You have to add content to each tier at least once a week. Once you have each of these tiers in place, adding content is going to expand the long tail keywords that you rank for.

A rule that I like to use is adding half as much content to my tiered sites as I do to my money site. So, if I add 4 blog posts per week to my money site, I like to add 2 blog posts per week to my tiers. Take my advice, hire a writer to help you with all of this content. It's much easier than trying to take it on yourself.

seo The Future of Web Performance at Google I/O: JavaScript 2013

Seo Master present to you:

This post is one in a series that previews Google I/O, our biggest developer event in San Francisco, May 28-29. Over the next month, we'll be highlighting sessions and speakers to give Google Code Blog readers a better sense of what's in store for you at the event. - Ed.

In April I announced that I'm starting another book. The working title is High Performance Web Sites, Part 2. This book contains the next set of web performance best practices that goes beyond my first book and YSlow. Here are the rules I have so far:
  1. Split the initial payload
  2. Load scripts without blocking
  3. Don't scatter scripts
  4. Split dominant content domains
  5. Make static content cookie-free
  6. Reduce cookie weight
  7. Minify CSS
  8. Optimize images
  9. Use iframes sparingly
  10. To www or not to www
I'm most excited about the best practices for improving JavaScript performance (rules 1-3). Web sites that are serious about performance are making progress on the first set of rules, but there's still a lot of room for improving JavaScript performance. Across the ten top U.S. sites approximately 40% of the time to load the page is spent downloading and executing JavaScript, and only 26% of the JavaScript functionality downloaded is used before the onload event.

In my session at Google I/O I'll present the research behind rules 1-3, talk about how the ten top U.S. web sites perform, demonstrate Cuzillion, and give several takeaways that you can use to make your web site faster.2013, By: Seo Master

seo How to increase AdSense cost per click (CPC) 2013

Seo Master present to you:
Cost per Click is the amount an advertiser is willing to pay for the clicks that are generated on the ads shown on your page. AdSense has a bidding process in which different advertisers bid for the ad space on your blog and the highest bidder gets a chance to display their ad. AdSense on its own ensures that the most paying ad is shown on your page so that you earn maximum. Its not in your control to decide to decide the ads or to fix the amount for charging. However, by following some of the basic practices, you can increase you Cost Per Click for the ads and earn maximum from the adsense.

Practices to increase AdSense Cost Per Click.
  • Enable all of your ad units to show both text and images rich ads. When you limit a unit to show only a particular kind of ad, either text or image ads, you are limiting the number of bidders and thus lowering your chances of earning maximum. Lets get it with an example. Suppose you have limited a ad unit to show only text ads. And you receive a CPC of 1$ on it. What you miss out is that there may be an Image ad that is willing to pay more than 1$ per click. By increasing the number of advertisers to compete for the ad unit, you are increasing your chances of getting higher bid than you get normally. So, its always better to enable all ad units to show both images/media ads and text ads.
  • The first ad unit that appears in your blog's html receives the ads with maximum CPC. Suppose you have put three ads units, one as a leader board, a sidebar, and one at the bottom of your posts. Now, naturally you will wish that the highest paying ads are shown on leader board, since there are more chances of people clicking on them, so you have to put the leader board AdSense ads first in your html code. You may achieve this by trying and testing.
  • Keep your filter list small. Filtering majority of ads for whatever reason will ultimately lead to less advertisers competing for your blog, and hence less earning.
  • Developed countries CPC are usually higher than under-developing countries. You will get a higher CPC from US than from India. So, building a country specific audience will limit your reach. Its also not at all advisable to target only US audience. You are paid for Indian clicks too. Whatever it is. The point is, don't limit your audience to a particular country and try to build a follower list of countries like US, UK, etc.
The ultimate goal is to allow maximum number of advertisers bid for the ad space on your blog. The more competition, the more earning. By enabling both rich media ads and text ads does this only.
However, in doing all these practices you must avoid some points.
  • Don't believe that writing for high paying keywords will earn you more CPC. This is a good practice unless you over do it. You are writing for people who reads you. Don't over do it. Moreover, Google says that it don't encourage any such practice.
  • Don't use multiple accounts. Its a violation of terms for Google and your account will be suspended as soon as they discover it.
  • Don't change the behavior of AdSense Ads in any way. Its not permitted under Google terms and conditions.
Most of the publishers learns from experience. Keeping these points will certainly help you in increasing CPC for AdSense ads.
If you have any point in your mind, mention in comments. It will be a privileges for me and my readers.

seo Rob Campbell: Debugging and Testing the Web with Firebug 2013

Seo Master present to you: The sixth Web Exponents tech talk features Rob Campbell's presentation on Firebug. Rob works at Mozilla. He's one of the developers that Mozilla dedicated to the Firebug effort last July. Rob is one of the main drivers of the Firebug project, starting and heading up the weekly concalls, and closely tracking bugs and releases. As one of the founders of the Firebug Working Group, I'm excited to see Mozilla taking a more active role in Firebug. The benefits are clear as we see more features and greater stability with each Firebug release. Here's the video of Rob's presentation as well as a link to his slides.

Rob starts by highlighting what's new in Firebug 1.4 alpha. It's a joy for me to see that activation (enabling and disabling) has been simplified. Rob points out that the firebug icon serves also as a menu. One of the menu items is "Open With Editor", which developers will find useful for saving changes to their pages. A much needed UI change is flipping the tabs and buttons. The tabs used to be below the buttons. Putting them at the top is closer to what users expect from working with other tabbed UIs.

The new "pause" button will be useful for anyone debugging JavaScript. This implements "break on next" functionality, making it easier to stop when event handlers are called. Firebug's Net Panel has had significant improvements. The UI is better (colors!), but there's even more. The underlying timing information has been improved to give more accurate results. There are also markers for DOMContentLoaded and OnLoad, to show where those fire in relation to network requests.

Firebug Extensions provide a way for developers to add functionality that can be shared with others. Rob mentions several extensions including:Writing an extension is a great way to explore future directions for Firebug.

Rob talks about future roadmap. Firebug 1.5 will focus on extensions - making them easier to build and use. Firebug 1.6 will change the underlying JavaScript debugging mechanism in Firefox to support new features. Add Rob's blog to your RSS reader to find out about these future releases and other improvements to Firebug.

seo Impact of Mobile Devices on Cloud Technology 2013

Seo Master present to you:
Cloud computing technology is widely popular owing to the fact that it allows the easy access of data from any location in the world. The access can be made by any electronic device which has an internet connection. It can either be you PC, your smart phone, your tablet or even your iPad. A recent survey conducted by Goldman Sachs reported that 66 percent of the users make use of mobile technology to access the cloud data. Mobile devices have very much influenced the development of cloud technology in many ways. Following are some on the impacts that mobile devices have had on the use and development of cloud technology.

Mobile cloud computing

The development of mobile cloud computing is a major impact that mobile devices have had on cloud technology. This is considered as a development of mobile computing and an extension into cloud computing. The mobile devices made use of here can be anything ranging from laptops, mobile phones, and I pads. In order to use cloud technology, the mobile devices need not have much requirements. And so nowadays, even non smart phones which have access to the internet can be used for cloud computing purposes.

The popular apps

There are many apps which cater particularly to mobile computing users. Theses apps are similar to the ones which can be purchased or downloaded from a mobile application store. Here the processing power of the apps is not driven from the mobile device, but from the cloud. Two such popular apps include the gmail and Google Voice for the iphone.

The latest trends

It is seen that many companies are opting for mobile computing technology due to the high demand of the services, both from the customer side and the employee side. Mobile cloud computing technology is also gradually changing the work pattern in companies. Most people are opting to work remotely by using mobile cloud computing applications.

The use of mobile devices has also made the cloud technology a medium of money mobilization. Many companies have hosted cloud applications that will enable the user to view and pay their bills and dues with the help of their smart phones.

The security

Even though mobile devices have greatly helped in the development of cloud technology, it also poses some security risks. Increased access to private computing assets through cloud technology is posing as a huge security risk.

The steps taken

In order to improve the security of mobile cloud computing, many service providers are making use of data location policies. In this way, the data which is accessible at one particular geo location will not be made available at another location. Service providers have also enabled security settings which enable the user to customize the security settings as per their requirements.

The future development

It can be said that the future development of mobile apps depends on the processing power of the cloud itself. The ability to use these cloud apps from even non smart phones will increase the popularity of the apps to a great extent.

seo Guido van Rossum releases Mondrian-clone: Rietveld 2013

Seo Master present to you:

Guido van Rossum, Python creator and member of the App Engine team, gave a talk on Mondrian which is the tool he created to work with the code review process at Google.

The Mondrian tool itself was tied to internal technology, but he took the time to built an inspired version on App Engine. Part of the work was having it work with Subversion as the SCM. The name of the tool is Rietveld, and here is what Guido said on the Python mailing list to announce it:

I've always hoped that I could release Mondrian as open source, but it was not to be: due to its popularity inside Google, it became more and more tied to proprietary Google infrastructure like Bigtable, and it remained limited to Perforce, the commercial revision control system most used at Google.

What I'm announcing now is the next best thing: an code review tool for use with Subversion, inspired by Mondrian and (soon to be) released as open source. Some of the code is even directly derived from Mondrian. Most of the code is new though, written using Django and running on Google App Engine.

I'm inviting the Python developer community to try out the tool on the web for code reviews. I've added a few code reviews already, but I'm hoping that more developers will upload at least one patch for review and invite a reviewer to try it out.

Brady Forrest has a nice write-up of the announcement and Joe Heck pointed out that this is not the same as another open source solution called Review Board.
