Of course, we always appreciate hearing from you in our recently expanded Webmaster Help discussion group. But if you're one of thousands of Webmasters attending the Search Engine Strategies conference ("SES") this week in San Jose, California, we'd particularly enjoy meeting you in person!

Amanda, Vanessa, Matt, and I (along with many other Googlers) will be speaking at various sessions throughout the conference, as well as hanging out in the exhibit hall. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Amanda will also be spending some quality time in the Google booth. On Tuesday night at the Googleplex, a huge mass of Googlers (including all of us) will be demo'ing products and services, answering questions, and enjoying the food, libations, and live music with a broad array of guests from SES at the annual Google Dance.

With the new directions gadget from Google Maps, any business can offer customized Google Maps directions to their business locations. With the directions gadget, you no longer need to type and update multiple sets of text directions. Let's face it: customers are only looking for directions from their specific location.

Last week, I looked up directions to the hotel in Sacramento that I had booked for the 4th of July weekend. As I had never been to that part of the state before, I was puzzled by the limited directions offered by their website - I had no idea whether I was approaching from the North, South, East or West or where the major highways were. What I needed were step-by-step directions from my exact starting point to the hotel that I could easily print and go.

Google has made this process easy for you. By copying and pasting a single line of code, any website can offer customized door-to-door directions powered by Google Maps to their users.


The gadget allows you to pre-fill the "To" field with one or multiple addresses. Customers are able to print their directions with a single click. And for those who prefer not to drive, the gadget also provides walking and public transit directions.


If someone enters a vague starting address, they have the option to specify a more exact address, which will then fly into the "From" field.


Providing directions from Google Maps is very flexible; in addition to run-of-the-mill addresses, you can give your customers directions to everything from a generic ZIP code to a specific set of latitude-longitude coordinates for any of your locations.

123 River St, Woods, MA
90210
42.06782° N, 71.756963° W

You can also give your address an alias, or a name that everyone will understand. You can do this by putting the alias in parentheses just after the address:

42.06782° N, 71.756963° W (Grandma's House)

 Money is important to make the world survive. Can you exist without money? Definitely no one can do that. Money is a lifeless commodity very much needed to make you live. It is easier to earn money than to save it. Money plays a vital part in all stages of our life. But the shift towards
achieving monetary affluence is somewhat acquiring a monumental proportion, thrusting aside everything as trivial.

A man is called successful only if he is financially well off. You must work hard, because you need money to look after your family. Your children’s education depend on money, no one is going to provide education for free. You must plan your future in such a way that you have savings in your bank to tide over bad times.

If you do not save, you will be in tremendous pressure when you have to pay your children’s school or college fees. You might need money for shifting to another place, or for some medical expenditure. The need for money is endless.


There were days when I felt love was enough to survive in this world. We were a very close knit family. My husband and daughter gave me more and more love. We were not that well off financially, but that did not stop our laughter. I thought those who said money was the most important thing in the world as someone who had not experienced the beautiful family affinity I enjoyed.

But things started roughening and slowly we came to the bitter truth that money was indeed very important in surviving in this world. As my daughter grew, the need for money also grew, but the sad thing was my husbands business was running into heavy loss. There came a time when we had to burrow for our survival itself. Relatives ignored us; we were after all people worthless, with no money. Who wants relationship with a poor family?

We became even closer, shutting the world to us. But that was not the end, just the beginning of my misery. My husband was diagnosed as suffering from renal failure. ‘Where to go for money needed for his treatment’, I vowed not to seek the help of our relatives. We had one ancestral property and I started burrowing money from our tenant. There were times when I would ask the nurse in the hospital to look after my husband and rush to our place, hundred kilometers away, for money. Those were the nightmarish days. The sad part of it was my husband did not survive.
Yes, love will help us tolerate financial stress, but you need money to overcome your problems, no one is going to help us in our time of hardships. Relationship dwindles to nothingness when you are without money. But, what is the use of money when there is no love. Money can buy whatever the world has got, but it cannot buy happiness. You can buy a house with your money but you need love and care to make it a home. You might be a citizen of a rich and powerful nation but you need a good neighboring country for you to live peacefully.

You must be financially independent. It gives you the power of being what you want to be. You will not become anther man’s slave for want of money. You can give the best education to your children, buy a beautiful house and also take your family to tour the world. These are just the monetary benefits you will achieve; you need to nurture relationship to make you happy, because you will feel empty without love.
