seo A Short Guide To Tiered Linking And SEO Strategy 2013

Seo Master present to you: What Exactly Is Tiered Linking Strategy?

There is a very basic principal to internet marketing and search engine optimization. The more links
you have, the better your ranking will be. However, many people fail to realize that there is a much better principal in place. Having tiered linking to the links that point to your money is much more effective.

Think of the Internet as a city. Let's say that you want a washing machine. Now you to 20 different stores and the sales people at all of those store tell you to go to The Washing Machine Store. Would you trust that The Washing Machine Store is a good place to get a washer? Of course! Google and the other search engines are the same way.

Now, let's pretend that all of those 20 stores that you went to only hired people that had engineering degrees.. Would you trust that they know what they're talking about? Of course!

This same scenario applies to search engine optimization. In this instance, Google is the customer. Google is going to 20 different sites (stores) and finding links (sales people) that send them to the authority site (The Washing Machine Store.)

Now, Google trusts these 20 sites (stores) because they have high PR (engineering degrees). Get it? Tiered linking uses this same principal, but it goes a little further. Here is a very short, but effective guide on how you can use tiered linking and SEO strategy to get your site ranking in Google within a matter of weeks.

1. Developing A Linking Plan

Having a linking plan for your tiered sites is essential. The first thing that you need to do is figure out the PR of each site. The higher the PR, the more that Google will trust that your site is an authority. There are a ton of ways that you can find out the PR of each website for your tiered linking.

You can either use the Google PR checker or you can browse through the Warrior Forums. I am attaching a thread from a Warrior thread that will give you the PR for each Web 2.0 site that you will want to use. Once you have the PR, you can start to develop your plan.

2. Tiered Links Accounts

Choosing the tiers for your linking is essential. Once you have the PR for each of your sites you need to start making accounts. Sign up for each account based on the PR. You want to have your 1st tier on sites that have a PR of 7 or higher. Your 2nd and 3rd tier sites should have a PR between 4-6.

This sends the Googlebot from low PR all the way to up to high PR, giving your site more juice. This also gives you a lot of URl and PR diversity for your tiers. Squidoo has a PR of 8 so you can start with this one.

Go to that Warrior Forum thread I posted to find other sites that have high PR. Creating accounts on all of these sites will take some time, but once you have an account you will never have to do this again.

I like to create a brand new email for all of my tiered linking sites so I have everything in one place.
This is great for organization, but it also keeps emails away from your main inbox.

3. Creating Content For The Tiers

All right, so you have all of your accounts set up, now you have to create content for each of these tiers. It's easy to get lazy and just put up bad content. Don't do this.

You want to have content that is on par with the articles and blog posts you put on your money site. Include pictures, videos and even freebies on your tiered sites so it doesn't look like a tiered satellite site.

Your 1st tier is the most important so make sure that everything is great. If you have the budget, get a Fiverr or Textbroker account and outsource the content creation to a professional SEO writer. This will cost money, but it will also save you a ton of time.

4. Linking Your Tiers

Linking the tiers is a very important step. As stated before, you want to have high PR for your 1st tier. This can be Blogger, Wordpress, Tumblr and Squidoo. You only really need about 6-7 1st tier sites, but you can go crazy if you want.

For your 2nd tier, Multiply, Hubpages, Xanga and others are fine. Link your 2nd tier to your 1st tier. This passes the link juice from the 2nd tier to the 1st tier to the money site. After you have linked your 2nd tier to your 1st tier, you can link wheel your 2nd tier. This means putting a link from Multiply to Hubpages to Xanga and so on.

When the Googlebot comes to one of your 2nd tier sites, it will go through the entire link pyramid back to your money site, giving your extremely powerful link juice. However, you never want to link wheel your 1st tier. This was effective a couple of years ago, but Google has smartened up.

5. Add Content Weekly

It's not enough to set up this tiered linking structure. You have to add content to each tier at least once a week. Once you have each of these tiers in place, adding content is going to expand the long tail keywords that you rank for.

A rule that I like to use is adding half as much content to my tiered sites as I do to my money site. So, if I add 4 blog posts per week to my money site, I like to add 2 blog posts per week to my tiers. Take my advice, hire a writer to help you with all of this content. It's much easier than trying to take it on yourself.
